Austin Thomas, from Wapwallopen, Luzerne County, forged 14 Spring Township officials’ signatures and two approval dates on the project’s plans, according to Spring Township police. The plans are expected to proceed, but may be delayed.
State police at Rockview believe Thomas Bowes, a 36-year-old from Howard, is responsible for stealing Christmas decorations, various tools, bicycles, hunting bows and gardening tools throughout Marion and Walker townships in Centre County, and Porter Township in Clinton County.

Elijah Weaver, of Port Matilda, admitted to raping two girls more than 10 times at a barn in Taylor Township, according to state police at Rockview. Both girls were interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center.
The Pennsylvania SPCA executed a search warrant Tuesday on Jahjah Melhem’s farm in Aaronsburg, seizing 118 animals and filing 47 charges related to animal cruelty. Melhem was the owner of the controversial Heaven on Earth animal rescue.
